This notice explains what personal data CyberVaani Council collects through this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We have kept it short because the site does very little with your data.

Who is responsible

CyberVaani Council is the data fiduciary for the information described here. We are based in Patna, Bihar, India. You can reach us at info@cybervaanicouncil.com.

What we collect

There are two ways your data reaches us.

  • When you use the contact form. We receive the name, email address, organisation, phone number and message you type in. Only your name, email and message are required.
  • When your browser requests a page. Our hosting provider records standard server information — IP address, browser, the page requested and the time — as part of delivering the site and keeping it secure.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. If that changes we will update this notice and ask for your consent first.

Why we use it

Contact form data is used for one purpose: to answer you and to carry on the conversation you started. Server logs are used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for marketing.

Who else sees it

Your message passes through the service that hosts this site and the service that delivers form submissions to our inbox. Those providers process the data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We will name the specific providers on request.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as the conversation is live and for up to 24 months afterwards, so that we have context if you come back to us. Server logs are kept for a short retention window by our hosting provider. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 — and under the GDPR if you are in the EU or UK — you can ask us to:

  • tell you what data of yours we hold and how we are using it;
  • correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
  • delete what we hold, where we have no obligation to keep it;
  • stop using it for a particular purpose.

Write to us at info@cybervaanicouncil.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to your local supervisory authority if you are in the EU or UK.

Grievance officer

Questions and complaints about how we handle personal data go to our grievance officer at info@cybervaanicouncil.com, as required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

Children

This site is aimed at organisations, not children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
